From the day Sophie attended one of our first ever Gliterary Lunches early in her writing career, we have tracked her well-earned rise to success with delight.  Queen of the pychological thriller and winner of several awards, she has sold millions of books in countless languages across the world.  Her poetry is on the A Level syllabus and Agatha Christie's estate has appointed her to continue to write Poirot novels.  The Couple at the Table is her latest novel.

Karen Campbell is the author of eight highly acclaimed novels, and a graduate of Glasgow University’s renowned Creative Writing Masters. Before becoming a writer, she was a police officer and then a Council press officer and has worked with many groups on the margins such as refugees and the homeless - all of which inform her writing.  A regular Chair for Gliterary Lunches, we are delighted to be welcoming her to Manchester in her capacity as writer and look forward to hearing more about her new novel Paper Cup.
