Gliterary Lunch Privacy Policy

What personal information do we hold?

If you have attended an event, we will only hold some or all of the following information on our secure database:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • company name (if relevant)
  • city of residence and postcode
  • that you have attended an event

This is simply so that we can contact you with information about future Gliterary Lunch events or other related updates.  We may occasionally review the postcode data for each city to make sure that our venues are located conveniently for our guests. We have gathered this information from the Customer Feedback Form that you completed at a lunch or if you have made a booking.  On occasion you are also invited to join the mailing list of a third party (eg our event sponsor or the venue).  We will only pass the above information to them if you have ticked the opt-in box on the Customer Feedback Form.

If you have not attended an event, but have booked on behalf of someone else or contacted us to go on the mailing list, we will only hold some or all of the following information on our secure database:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • company name (if relevant)
  • name of the city for the events that are of interest

This is simply so that we can contact you to notify you of future Gliterary Lunch events or other related updates.  We may occasionally consider the postcode data for each city to make sure that our venues are located conveniently for our guests. We have gathered this information because you have contacted us to book an event, make an enquiry or join our mailing list. We never share this data with a third party.

 

From time to time, Gliterary Lunches will send out carefully targeted emails to business contacts who have not attended a lunch before.  We will only hold the following information on our secure database:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • company name
  • city the company is based in

This is simply so that we can introduce you to the concept of Gliterary Lunches. We have gathered this information from your company website because we believe that our events may be of interest to you. We never share this data with a third party.

We hold this information in one location on secure mailing list software.  We have no wish to be a nuisance so remove contact details immediately on request or if they have bounced back.

 

In the run up to an in-venue event, we collect guest names and any dietary requirements and share this with the venue.  This is simply to ensure our guests have a personalised experience on the day of the event.  This information is deleted from our files within one month after the event has taken place. In the case of virtual events, where host companies ask us to send their guests a VIP Gift Pack or a book, we retain their addresses for one month while we ensure deliveries have been made successfully.
